Recipe for 4 pax
Ingredients
1kg shrimp (peeled, deveined, medium dice)
200g corn flour
1 tsp Aji-no-moto
4 tbsp leftover Sambal
4 tbsp mayonnaise
4 hot dog roll
100g jicama/sengkuang
100g carrot
100g Purple cabbage
2 lime juice
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp Sugar
Oil for deep frying
Butter for spreading on the roll
Method
• Prepare the Asian slaw by mixing all the
veges with lime juice, salt, pepper and
some sugar. Set aside
• Prepare the Sambal Aioli by mixing the
Sambal w mayonnaise till combine. Set
aside
• In a mixing bowl, add corn flour with
Aji-no-moto and pepper. Drench the prawn to be fully covered with the seasoned flour
• Heat up frying oil and fry all the prawn till golden brown. Set aside
• Toast the roll with some butter until lightly brown
• Assemble by placing half the slaw in the bottom of the roll, then prawns then drizzle with the Sambal Aioli.
• Ready to serve with the remaining Asian slaw
